FOOD BANK

Today's economy is directly affecting many of the at-risk persons in our community in terms of being able to afford enough food.  Funds are not available and food needs are great.  We provide food at no cost to the recipients to assist with this need.  Your donations in this area, no matter how small, can greatly assist many; regular donations can provide an on-going supply of food to those in our city, your neighborhood, your congregation, your family who are doing without.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING

There are many citizens of the community who are suffering from substance abuse - everyone is affected by it, actions profoundly affecting the living conditions of individuals and communitites  - we provide counseling and mentoring - we address the whole person, not solely one aspect - in order to return the participant to a viable, productive, self sufficient, self reliant member of society, with aftercare and an ongoing support system to assist in diminishing the risk of relapse.

EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE & PREPARATION, COUNSELING

Many are not able to return to the employed and employable sector for a number of reasons - we address all areas of this issue, including job preparation, resume and application assistance, successful interviewing, mock interviews, dressing for successful interviewing, selling yourself on your application; determining into which area of the work force your expertise fits, as well as training.  We provide an online computer lab to assist with job listings, referrals, etc. and maintain a current job referral listing.

LEGAL ASSISTANCE

There are many in the community who have legal issues due to a variety of reasons: not understanding legal terms, etc., that require assistance in addressing efficiently; these matters vary from wills and trusts, to legal contracts, etc., in addition to more serious legal matters.   Assistance, guidance and referrals are available to assist them in these areas and to avoid development into a more intense situation.  We can provide assistance prior to it developing to that point.

VARIOUS COUNSELING

There are many who require various areas of counseling programs, we can assist them with those needs:  Anger Management, Marriage Counseling, Parenting Classes, Money Management, Educational Assistance (GED), Mentoring, etc.
